uares (meaning that none of the granny square patterns will be directly included within this pattern as this is the instructions on how to assemble the straps + lining with necessary info included about the granny squares used). With that said, you can use any granny squares you would like; however, for it to match the stitch count within this pattern, ideally the granny square should have 15 stitches on each side of the square at the last round (not including the corner chs). ** This pattern is very customizable as you can use your own choice of granny squares and arrange them to your preference or make it the exact same way that I have (using the included diagram layouts for backpack straps and a crossbody strap). This pattern also includes a fabric lining section that demonstrates how to line your straps and how to add interfacing to offer more structure. The lining section is shown with the use of a sewing machine, but it can be hand sewn as well - I give tips on how to do that! I have classified this pattern to be at an intermediate level though I think an advanced beginner could give it a try due to the added use of visuals. If you need clarity on something, do not hesitate to reach out and I will do my best to help (however please keep in mind the pattern level and if it matches your current skill level). DIMENSIONS: Crossbody Strap - approx. Length: 44" (with swivel hooks) x Width: 2.25” Backpack Straps - approx. Length: 28" (with swivel hooks) x Width: 2.25” I use a combination of crochet thread and embroidery floss to create the stap(s). Please note that working with the thinner thread + smaller hook if you haven’t done so before can certainly pose its challenges and take some getting used to!
