Replacement Lucas-style distributor cap for Classic Mini, Moke and other BMC applications using the 43D, 45D or 59D distributor bodies. This clip-on style cap was used from approxi mately 1974 through to 1990, before the later electronic distributor caps secured with two screws became common. There are many different distributor types fitted to Classic Minis, Mokes and other BMC vehicles over the years, and many are interchangeable. Please ensure you identify your distributor body and existing cap before ordering. DISTRIBUTOR CAP TYPES 23D / 25D side-entry distributor – uses GDC102 23D / 25D conversion cap – GDC103 29D distributor – commonly used in Australian applications, uses GL278 43D / 45D / 59D distributors – uses this GDC136 clip-on cap Later UK screw-on style – uses GDC156, secured with two screws The GDC136 uses the original-style clip-on retaining system rather than the later two-screw arrangement.
