Replacement flywheel straps for Classic Mini & Moke pre-Verto diaphragm-type clutch assemblies. These straps are fitted to the pre-Verto diaphragm flywheel and are secured using the 2A3659 short clutch bolts. STANDARD FITMENT The standard arrangement uses: 2 x straps per bolt 3x bolts per flywheel 6x straps in total For performance flywheels and clutches, we recommend using 3 straps per bolt to help minimise strap stretching under increased clutch loads. IMPORTANT – CHECK BEFORE FITTING Before installation, carefully check the bolt holes and finish of the straps. Some straps can have a rough finish around the holes, so ensure the bolts enter and pass through the straps freely before fitting. Do not force the bolts through, as this can affect correct clamping and alignment. RECOMMENDED PERFORMANCE BOLTS For anything beyond a standard road application, we recommend upgrading the standard bolts to the high-grade competition versions: C-2A3659 – Competition-grade short flywheel strap bolt C-2A3657 – Competition-grade long clutch bolt These feature a flanged design and high-grade material, making them more suitable for performance applications than the standard bolts. Important: These straps are for pre-Verto diaphragm-type flywheels and are not suitable for Verto clutch assemblies. A useful replacement when rebuilding or upgrading the original pre-Verto Mini or Moke diaphragm clutch and flywheel assembly.
