The fabric is developed using a rare Japanese dyeing process called Omi Zar ashi, a slow and highly artisanal technique similar to sulfur dyeing. This treatment gives the fabric a deep, lived-in color with natural irregularities and tonal variations unique to each piece. Slight stains, uneven dyeing, and subtle imperfections are intrinsic characteristics of the fabric and part of its identity, reflecting a process far removed from industrial uniformity.
