Reserve Your Frame with a Deposit Ordering this fully refundable item reserves a new Ministry Cycles Zahn frame for you. This $100 deposit is not the cost of the frame, but only the reservation deposit. This amount will be deducted from the cost of your frame, and you can cancel your reservation for a full refund at any time. Very few frames will be available, so this will help me priortize orders. Unreal Speed at a Real World Price Anyone reserving a frame now will be able to purchase a frame without a rear shock for $1,250, plus shipping. I'm still sourcing rear shocks and haven't finalized pricing for frame and rear shock options yet. Your pre-order reservation cost of $100 will be deducted from your frame cost, so if you reserve a frame now, your final payment will be $1,150 due once the frames are available. When do Frames Arrive? Yueh expects to begin shipping my frames at the end of August. Once frames are in the U.S. and inspected, I will begin notifying each reservation holder personally. I will also keep everyone updated on rear shock options and costs. What's the Story with These Frames? A few years ago, a company in China named Yueh asked me to design a high-pivot suspension system for them. The frame they created turned out so nice that I asked if I could offer a Ministry Cycles version of it here in North America. The Zahn joins the Ministry family as the first frame to use a more common suspension system as opposed to my 3VO design. That simplicity helps us create a frame that offers outstanding performance at a price more riders can afford. What You Get We packed a lot of performance into a clean, simple frame design here. The Zahn combines a mullet wheel configuration with a high-pivot, continuously rearward axle path. The result is a bike that's responsive enough to trick every trail feature, but supple enough to soak up even small impacts. To minimize the drag often found on high-pivot systems, I designed the suspension to work with a large 18t idler gear. The result is smooth, quiet, and extremely efficient pedaling. The frame is made for trail, all-mountain, and enduro riding. Depending on rear shock stroke, it can be set up with 140mm or 156mm of rear travel, and works best with 150-160mm forks. The option to run full external brake and shifter cables makes maintenance much easier, but internal ports are available on each side of the head tube, with a single exit port just in front of the lower shock mount. The dropper cable has room to run inside the bottom bracket shell and can be kept mostly external, or run fully inside the frame from just behind the head tube to the seat tube. The largely uninterrupted seat tube is designed to allow maximum seatpost insertion. Specifications • 140mm (with 210x50mm shock) or 156mm rear travel (with 210x55mm shock)• Designed for 150-160mm forks• 6061-T6 frame material• ZS44/ZS56 headset allows for angle adjust headsets• SRAM UDH hanger• Boost 12x148mm rear axle• 180mm standard rotor mount• Recommended chainring size: 32t• Seatpost size: 31.6mm• Seatpost Collar size: 34.9mm• Standard BSA 73mm threaded bottom bracket• Included chainguide with ISCG05 compatibility• 27.5 x 2.7" max rear tire size• 8x30mm upper shock eyelet spacing, 8x20mm lower shock eyelet spacing• Frame weight: 3900g / 8.6lbs The Downsides Yeah, most companies don't cover the downsides, but we're a little different. The frames top out at what I'd call a "medium-large," which means riders over 6'1" or 186cm may want to wait for a larger size to be offered (check the geometry chart, and feel free to ask me questions). There is no full 29" options available, as the bike really is designed around balancing the smaller rear wheel's agility with the added rollover of the rearward axle path.
