Mink DeVille was an American band formed 1974 in San Francisco, California by vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Willy DeVille. Known for its association with early punk rock bands at New York’s CBGB nightclub the band had a unique Latin-Rockabilly sound. Willy cut many fine band and solo albums before dying of cancer in 2009. Outstanding albums include Cabretta, Le chat bleu and Coup de grâce.
