Perfect for dual-purpose recreation and fishing boats, these engine mount motors can be controlled using the corded remote and feature sealed electronics, an interference-free composite mount and Digital Maximizer for extended run-time. Split Recommended for: Dual-purpose recreation and fishing boats up to 24'. The 160 lbs thrust motor is recommended for boats weighing up to 8,000lbs. How It's Unique Minn Kota Engine mount motors are unique as the motor attaches to the cavitation plate of your existing outboard engine, rather than the bow or transom of your boat. This unique motor is ideal for dual-purpose boats, or in scenarios where mounting a traditional trolling motor is not possible. The motor includes a wired remote that controls prop speed and direction (forward or reverse), while the motor is steered with your boat's existing steering wheel. Available in thrust levels up to 160 lbs, Minn Kota engine mount motors are a good fit for all sizes of boats. Be sure to look over the mounting specs of the Engine Mount motor to be sure it is compatible with your outboard motor. Split Mounting Details: Mounting an engine mount trolling motor requires drilling into the cavitation plate of your outboard engine.
