In reality, it was a very ritualistic performance of courting that belonged to knighthood just like tourneys or hunting, and wouldn’t necessarily reflect true feelings, but I do love to indulge in the romance 🖤*This would be typical of Hohe Minne, but there’s of course a plethora of subgenres and intricacies to the entire topic on top of my very abbreviated and simplistic summary above, don’t come for my wig literary nerds 💀 I am one of yous
