We have never really been a fan of mint tisanes. Honestly we’ve always found it far too intense, out of balance and not something we really wanted to drink. However we do enjoy the flavor of mint and recognize its cooling medicinal properties so we set out to create a unique blend which highlights the flavor and benefits of the plant without the intensity of say toothpaste. The base of the tea is the grass of the common oat, a cereal grain consumed for thousands of years. The grass of the plant is highly nutritious containing a multitude of vitamins and minerals. The past two years have been exceptionally tiring and draining and we have relied heavily on this plant to help restore strength. For culinary complexity we’ve blended several types of mint together here, various peppermints, spearmint and chocolate mint may be present at any given moment. There’s also a bit of nettle in the mix which compliments the flavors of the blend and enhances its medicine. This herbal blend is also composed entirely of ingredients from small independant organically certified farms in the northeast United States which were harvested during the spring and summer seasons of this year and processed on site.
