Fashion designers Hokuto Katsui and Nao Yagi established mintdesigns in 2001, and have since become a respected womenswear label with a shop in Shibuya, Tokyo. Characterised by bol d prints and patterning, not to mention explosions of colour, the duo’s quirky designs and curious shapes have earned them a place in arty Japanese fashion circles.
