Preserving Its Appearance Leather is sensitive to natural elements. Water, direct sunlight, excessive heat, humidity, or dryness may affect its color and texture. If it gets wet, gently blot it with a soft cloth to prevent marks or blistering as it dries. Avoiding Common Mistakes Leather doesn’t take kindly to excess. Substances like ink, lipstick, and perfume can cause permanent stains. Likewise, repeated contact with dark or abrasive fabrics may transfer color onto lighter leathers. Giving It Time to Rest To preserve its shape and shine, allow your Hélène Nepomiatzi piece to rest when not in use. To make sure your piece ages beautifully we recommend you to avoid over exposure to direct lightning and keep it away from direct sources of heat. If your object does come into contact with water or any of those substances, it should be gently dabbed with a dry, non-fluffy, light coloured absorbent cloth. Light scratches can attenuate if gently massaged with a soft, dry cloth. These leathers are natural and unique: any incidental tonal variations, marks or veins are natural features and should not be considered as imperfections.
