Based in New Canada, Nova Scotia, Angela Barkhouse is the founder of Misc. Sail Wear, a maritime-inspired design studio dedicated to giving retired sails a second life. Once shaped by wind, salt, and sea along the Atlantic Coast and beyond, these sails are thoughtfully reclaimed and transformed into innovative, functional bags. Hand cut and sewn in Nova Scotia, each one-of-a-kind piece preserves the markings and history of its past voyage while embracing a new purpose.
