Mishimoto's performance intercooler replaces that tube-and-fin core with an all-aluminum, TIG-welded bar-and-plate design built to keep intake temperatures down under sustained hard driving. The larger core adds 89 percent more internal volume and 162 percent more external fin surface area than the factory unit, and cast aluminum end tanks with internal diverters route air through the full core instead of just the center of it. On stock tuning, Mishimoto measured max gains of 14.2 whp and 12.2 lb-ft, along with a 23°F drop in outlet temperature versus the factory intercooler (per Mishimoto).
