Misky#1 is crafted with a base of pure organic Turkish rose oil and a musk oil made using the original Arabic/Persian recipe. We begin with raw, extra-dry Siberian musk, which is added directly to the oil and then allowed to mature for six months—this is the ideal time according to the original recipe of Al-Kindi and Jābir ibn Ḥayyān. Next, we add extra-saturated Indian Assam musk oil (which is semi-extinct) and finish the blend with a touch of red Mysore sandalwood oil, Taifi rose, and the rare Vietnamese Tonkin musk—what we like to call our signature family top layer. This process creates a deep, spicy, and complex musk oil with multiple accords—something only possible through our unique technique. It is often called the “love potion” or “forbidden scent.” Mr. Ali Attar, our house owner and master perfumer, is the only person in the world who knows this original recipe, refusing to license it or replace it with synthetic alternatives. Many companies have tried to replicate or reformulate this recipe without success! As Mr. Attar states, the secret lies not just in chemistry but in understanding how musk evolves. This meticulous process was refined by Mr. Attar’s great-grandfather, who spent his life experimenting with and perfecting the formula. The final oil, totaling just half a liter, is the highest-quality, most authentic musk oil available. Still, we don’t believe in overcharging people simply because we have knowledge others don’t. Instead, we focus on offering great value and competing with ourselves, not with others. It’s common to think that companies can set ridiculously high prices, and someone will still buy it.
