Our "Missing Link" pickups are a unique tonal blend of humbuckers and single coils. We start by using threaded magnetic pole pieces (instead of steel), wire them with double coils, add some secret sauce, and you have the Missing Link. These are original designs and their tonal qualities should not be assumed from how the DC Resistances compare to conventional pickups. "Missing Link ++" bridge model is wound with a 44 AWG thin Poly Nylon wire in a very hot overwound pattern. Delivering a ton of lows, cutting mids, and high output, it will hit an amp very hard and is great for getting maximum gain from an amplifier. Available as a bridge model only. Learn more. The combination of Alnico 5 rods and FeCrCo 5 threaded magnetic pole pieces give a strong attack, providing more articulate and percussive tones than is possible with a conventional humbucker magnet structure. Adjustable Tone On all "Missing Link" style pickups, the amount harmonic overtones can be adjusted by raising and lowering the pole pieces.
