The Mission Twinkle is a rare and captivating novelty variety that lives up to its celestial name with radiant, bi-color blooms. A standout for its sharp contrast and "sparkling" appearance, it is highly valued for adding a touch of brilliance to mixed borders and bringing a unique, graphic element to modern floral design work. Color: Purple and White / Bicolor. Features deep, saturated purple-to-magenta petals that are vividly tipped or "frosted" with crisp white. The amount of white tipping can vary depending on temperatures, often appearing more pronounced and "twinkling" as the nights cool in late summer. Form: Novelty / Stellar. While often categorized as a novelty, its form is similar to a stellar dahlia, with long, narrow petals that taper to a fine point and slightly recurve, creating a starburst or "twinkle" effect. Bloom Size: Small (M). Dainty yet impactful, the blooms typically measure approximately 3 to 4 inches (7.5–10 cm) in diameter. Height: Medium to Tall. A sturdy, upright plant that reaches a mature height of approximately 3.5 to 4.5 feet (105–135 cm), requiring standard staking to support its prolific floral display. Performance: High-Energy Garden Standout. Known for its consistent productivity and eye-catching color contrast throughout the season. Its strong stems and unique bicolored petals make it a favorite for "popping" in arrangements, and it is recognized by growers for being a reliable tuber producer.
