My favorite town is Prague, Czech Republic. I Like Prague because it has a sort of Fairy Tale feeling While painting, I always use the finest quality Chinese Silk. When applied, li quid dyes and paints flow and move in a way that is truly exhilarating to watch! In order to stop this movement, a material called a resist is used which not only stops the dyes from moving on the silk, but also creates an outline for what is being depicted, adding dramatic dimension. Once the painting is completed, the dyes need to be steam-fixed in order for them to become color-fast. This also causes the colors to become brighter and more intense. My silk paintings are stretched, the sides are painted and the piece is ready to hang. Show more
