The tapered back of the ring band is plain.- symbolism - During the Victorian era Mizpah jewelry was commonly gifted between two people to symbolize the special emotional bonding between them when they are separated either by distance or death, worn in remembrance. Mizpah is a Hebrew word which means watchtower sending the message 'May God watch over you'.
