The motor base unit can be used directly on an arca swiss tripod. The controller supports minimum step sizes as low as 0.01953 μm (= 0,00001953 mm). We recommend this rail for magnifications up to 10X. For higher magnifications you should look for the Qool Rail Series. This set contains the USB-Controller. The included USB controller works with a laptop or PC. All settings are done in the included software that you can download in our download area. Your camera can be triggered automatically either directly from the USB controller via shutter cable or if your camera does not support wired shutter release then it can be triggered over Sony Remote, Canon EOS Utiliy or Capture One. If you prefer to work independently from your laptop, please choose the set with IR Controller. A 12V power supply is included in this kit but you can also use a Li-Ion battery pack to operate the rail for example outdoors.
