Designed and authorized by Count of Brick, this model is based on the German Type VII submarine from World War II. This is a MOC, therefore ships as loose bricks with PDF instructions. 1:300 scale to match the COBI ships. The VII submarines of the Wolfpack fleet had four bow and one outer stern torpedo tube. They usually carried 11 torpedoes and were very manoeuvrable on the surface. The submarines and the fleet together formed sea convoys, which were very fast and manoeuvrable in both attack and defence. This model is well-designed, sturdy and aesthetically pleasing, with the fun of assembling in mind to provide high ornamental and collection value.The wolf pack attack was a convoy attack tactic in World War II. It was mainly used by U-boats of the German Navy in the Battle of the Atlantic and by U.S. Navy U-boats in the Pacific War. The idea of coordinated submarine attacks on convoys was proposed during World War I, but was unsuccessful. During the Second World War, the attack of the German wolf pack in the Atlantic had considerable success, but was ultimately defeated by the Allies. In early 1917, the High Seas U-boat Commander Hermann Bauer proposed the establishment of U-boat patrol lines in the convoy lanes in order to concentrate the attacks on all reported convoys.The Type VII was the most widely used submarine of the war and the most produced submarine class in history. A total of 703 submarines were built. The Type VII was the most numerous type of submarine involved in the Battle of the Atlantic.
