The design pays homage to the bold, timeless graphics popular from the 1950s through the 1970s. The set includes 160 tiles and two dice, all presented in an elegant acrylic display box that doubles as a stylish design statement for your home. While the tiles feature unique designs, they correspond with traditional Chinese and American Mahjong sets, including Bamboos (Bams), Characters (Craks), Dots, Winds, Dragons, Flowers, Jokers, and blanks. Each tile is made of layered acrylic in white, yellow, and orange. When shuffled, the tiles create the distinctive high-pitched “clacking” sound associated with Mahjong, traditionally said to resemble the chattering of sparrows.
