The Modern Line sofa collection was designed in 1949 by Greta M. Grossman. It stands as one of her most elegant and minimalistic works, widely praised for reflecting her Scandinavian design heritage. The collection features a timeless, sleek, and feminine silhouette, characterized by its slender, graceful legs—a true hallmark of Grossman's style. As Grossman herself described, the sofa was “developed out of our own preferences for living in a modern way.” Modern Line was also pioneering in its use of Nozag springs, embracing new materials and technology. It was among the first sofas to incorporate industrialized upholstery techniques, setting a new standard for modern furniture design.
