Limited Edition, Signed and Numbered Certificate Included Museum-Grade Archival Paper and Inks Made to Order, Ships in 2-3 Weeks Laurence Donoghue: Laurence is a UK based photographer often drawn to the sea. Shooting on celluloid film, his photographs try to grab onto ephemeral, fleeting moments and reflect the bittersweetness of trying to hold onto something that cannot stay. Story Behind the Image: A surfer runs for the waves. Taken on one of my favourite beaches on one of my favourite pre-fogged film stocks. For me surfing, like photography, is the search for those elusive moments of total connectedness. I think this photograph and in particular the film stock used help capture one of those ephemeral moments perfectly. This image was captured on high ISO film, with the pronounced grain adding to its atmosphere and lending it a soft, dreamlike quality. Paper: This piece is printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag, a premium, heavyweight (308gsm), bright white, 100% cotton rag paper with a smooth matte finish. This is an archival print designed to last 100+ years.
