Modern Stone Easy Etch Grout Haze & Mortar Residue Remover Modern Stone Easy Etch is a professional-strength acid-based cleaner formulated to remove grout haze, mortar smears, mineral deposits, efflorescence, and rust stains from acid-resistant tile, grout, stone, and masonry surfaces. This concentrated formula is specifically designed to etch grout surfaces for improved bonding when applying Modern Stone Color Sealer and other grout restoration products. Ideal for post-installation cleanup, restoration projects, and grout preparation, Easy Etch helps remove stubborn construction residue and mineral buildup while restoring the appearance of tile and grout installations. Its concentrated formula can be diluted for light cleaning, routine restoration, or aggressive etching applications. Available Sizes: Quart, Gallon, and 5 Gallon Concentrate Recommended Surfaces: Grout Acid-Resistant Tile Masonry Surfaces Acid-Resistant Stone Removes: Grout Haze Mortar Smears Mineral Deposits Rust Stains Construction Residue Efflorescence Not Recommended For: Marble Travertine Limestone Flagstone Acid-Sensitive Natural Stone Coverage: Approximately 1,000 to 10,000 square feet per gallon depending on dilution ratio, surface condition, and application method. Application Instructions Sweep or vacuum the surface to remove loose debris. Mask off acid-sensitive materials such as stainless steel and natural stone. Dilute Easy Etch according to the cleaning task: Light Cleaning: 1 part Easy Etch to 10 parts water Medium Cleaning: 1 part Easy Etch to 6 parts water Heavy Cleaning / Etching: 1 part Easy Etch to 3 parts water Apply solution evenly and allow to dwell for 1 to 2 minutes. Do not allow the product to dry on the surface. Agitate using a soft-bristle brush or acid-resistant scrubber. Remove dirty solution with a wet/dry vacuum, sponge, or damp mop. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Dry with a terry cloth towel. Handling and Storage Close the container after each use. Store only in the original container in a dry, well-ventilated area. Avoid freezing temperatures and prolonged exposure to excessive heat. Caution Wear rubber gloves and eye protection during application. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of eye contact, flush immediately with water. If skin contact occurs, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Do not ingest. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention if necessary.
