HOW IT WORKS Small Earth magnets are impregnated into each wooden MKB section allowing them to attach perfectly to one another. Each section holds two knives. PRODUCT DETAILS When we set out to design the MKB we had two goals in mind. Create the ability to build a knife set over time allowing customers to break up what can be a hefty investment and develop a system that allows users to safely and easily detach two knives from the block for travel purposes. Up until this point traveling chefs and culinary enthusiasts have been limited to leather or nylon knife rolls that don't truly protect yourself or the blade properly. You may be asking yourself why would I ever travel with knives, well if you're anything like us, you love bringing your own knives to Holliday parties or cookouts when extra hands are needed in the kitchen. Plus, theres no "flex" like showing up with your own knives ready to get to work. The individual MKB sections utilize a magnetic interlocking system to connect one section to the next. The magnets are impregnated in the wood ensuring that the blocks line up perfectly. Each slot fits any of our 6 designs and the block itself comes in a natural wood finish or all black.
