Cetearyl alcohol is a white, waxy substance made from coconut oil. It is an emollient, which means it protects, softens and conditions skin. It doesn’t have the same effect on the skin as ‘regular’ alcohols. Ceteareth 20 keeps the other ingredients stable. Ethylhexylglycerine and phenoxyethanol are preservatives that are used in very low concentrations in some Janesce skincare products.
