Keep steady: Moving, biting down, or talking while the putty sets will ruin the mold. Step-by-Step Instructions Prep & Clean Brush and floss your teeth thoroughly. Wash and dry your hands completely. Mix the Putty (30–40 Seconds) Take one scoop/pack of the colored putty and one of the white putty. Knead them together vigorously until the color is completely uniform with no white streaks. Roll it into a smooth sausage/cylinder shape roughly the length of the tray. Load the Tray Place the putty roll evenly into the impression tray, curving it along the arch. Do not press it flat; leave enough depth for your teeth to sink into. Insert and Push (Do Not Bite) Line up the tray centered over your teeth. Use your fingers/thumbs to push the tray straight up (for top teeth) or straight down (for bottom teeth) in one smooth, firm motion.
