Hand-formed on the lush island of Kaua‘i, this bowl draws inspiration from the Mōlī — the Laysan Albatross, a graceful native seabird known for its large, speckled eggs and deep connection to the sea cliffs of the north shore. Its raw, organic rim recalls the delicate edges of a hatched shell. Inside, a scatter of earthy browns and deep ocean blues evokes feather, sky, and stone — like finding a treasure tucked in a nest among the naupaka and windswept ironwood. Each bowl is a one-of-a-kind reflection of place — textured, grounded, and made with aloha in the rhythm of nature. What is Stoneware? Stoneware pottery is fired at high temperatures to make it strong, hard, and resistant to liquids (non-porous). It is made from clay, but it is more durable than other kinds of pottery and earthenware. The reason it is called "stoneware" is because of its stone-like qualities, so you can expect something that is rugged, durable, and exudes natural feeling. Care instructions While stoneware and the glaze I use is 100% food-safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher friendly, to retain the beautiful colors, I do recommend hand washing and not using them in microwaves.
