The Philo Toad is one of the smallest amphibian species native to The Gilded Bog, commonly found submerged in mud or snacking on rogue insects. Most at home among the moss, its war ty back provides superb camouflage, allowing it to disappear effortlessly into the forest floor. The Philo Toad is a hand-sculpted pewter statuette and trinket guardian, cast in a small batch from a lead-free pewter alloy. Each creature from The Gilded Bog is designed, sculpted, cast, and finished by hand in our small Connecticut studio.
