Molochite is a clean white-firing aggregate, used in ceramics for mechanical stability and resistance to thermal shock in clay bodies, much like grog. It is produced by firing low- iron kaolin to very high temperatures, a process which yields granules that are hard, refractory, and exhibit low thermal expansion. Please note the particle size can range from very fine to coarse, so make sure you select the correct mesh size for your needs. The 200 mesh is fine, the 50-80 mesh contains larger granules. Show more
