An old variety already mentioned in 1912 in the French magazine "la conserve alimentaire". I have to admit that I grew this variety purely because of the funny name.. But it did no t disappoint. Lovely beefsteak variety with pinky red fuits and firms flesh. Heart shaped with juicy sweet flavour. Produces fruits over a long time. I grew this as a vine with two main stems. Early to mid season.
