Monstera dissecta is a dramatic climbing aroid beloved by collectors for its deeply cut, skeleton-like mature leaves. Juvenile foliage starts out heart-shaped and entire, but as th e plant matures on a moss pole or tall support, leaves develop ever more elaborate fenestrations that extend almost all the way to the midrib, giving the plant its ribcage-like silhouette. Vigorous once established, Monstera dissecta is a fantastic statement plant for a bright, humid room, plant cabinet, or feature wall where its mature foliage can be shown off to best effect.
