Moonsetter, by Danish architect Anne Boysen, won the Next Danish Design Classic competition in 2020 and was refined with Louis Poulsen for release in 2021, in numbered editions of 100. The design reduces a lamp to elemental geometry: a circular disc held in a slender chrome frame above a cylindrical base. The disc — mirrored on one side, white on the other — rotates a full 360° over a concealed LED, so the lamp never gives the same light twice: tilt the mirror to throw light into the room, or turn the matte face forward for a soft, lunar glow. A floor-standing sculpture as much as a lamp, Moonsetter thrives where mood matters more than task light — beside a sofa, in a bedroom corner, or against a wall that catches its reflections. Pair it with classics from the Louis Poulsen collection or see more sculptural floor lamps. Light source: built-in LED, 3500 K, behind an opal silicone diffuser; stepless dimming via the rotatable switch on the cylinder. IP20, indoor.
