Moore and Wright’s MWT-7800 Refractometer is designed to measure the concentration of coolant and cutting fluids. A small sample of fluid is placed on the test slide and the result s observed through the eyepiece. When the refractometer is held up to a light, the refractive index of the fluid will deflect the light through the prism and onto a scale at the eyepiece. A blue line will appear on the scale showing the concentration for the fluid, from 0-20 °Bx. This straightforward process gives fast, reliable readings for easy maintenance of correct dilution levels, ensuring ideal lubrication and corrosion protection for machine tools.
