There is a ferro rod integrated into the handle so you can create high temperature sparks. The 2.5 mm thick blade is made of Swedish stainless steel making it easy to maintain, and keeps its edge for a long time. The spine of the blade is ground to a 90° angle so it is compatible with scraping the ferro rod.
