Item Name: Moretti Effetre Rod - Pastel Grasshopper Green - 5mm - 6mm SKU: 1556213 Description: Moretti Green Grasshopper Pastel is a soft glass rod color used for lampworking and beadmaking. It is manufactured as solid, round rod in the Effetre color line and is used when you want a bright, spring green pastel that stays opaque and readable in small work. This color is commonly used for base beads, spacer beads, and small sculptural elements, and it is also frequently pulled into stringer for crisp dots, vines, and fine decorative lines. How it is used: Bring the rod into the back of a neutral flame to warm it evenly, then form a gather and apply it to a mandrel to build a base bead. Use it for opaque pastel green coverage in beads and small sculptural work where you want a clean, bright green without transparency. Pull the rod into stringer for fine linework such as vines, scrolls, and dot trails, then lightly reheat to smooth and round the surface. Pair it with other compatible soft glass colors for layered striping, dot stacks, and simple encased designs that need a high-visibility green accent. Dimensions: Rod diameter: 5mm – 6mm Show more
