It is used when you want clean, consistent stringer lines without the time and variability of pulling your own, and it is especially useful for surface decoration such as scrollwork, dots, banding, and fine detail that needs predictable thickness and melt-in behavior. How it is used: Preheat the stringer gradually at the back of the flame to reduce thermal shock, then bring the tip to a small working heat. Apply fine lines, dots, and bands to a warm base bead or component, then melt in to the level of relief you want. Use light heat and a steady hand for crisp surface trails, or apply hotter and melt in fully for smooth inlaid color.
