Ichiro Mori works in Bizen, one of Japan's most storied pottery regions, where the tradition of wood firing continues to be practiced with deep dedication. Originally trained as a sculptor, Mori approaches clay with a strong sense of form, balance, and surface, giving his work a quiet yet powerful presence.He fires his wood-fired kiln twice a year alongside his father, also a potter, continuing a shared commitment to the demanding rhythm of Bizen ceramics.
