Moringa oleifera, often called ‘Nebedaye’ or ‘never die’ in various African languages, is recognized as one of the most nutrient-dense plants worldwide. Originating in Northern India around 2000 BC, this medicinal herb spread to the Philippines, the Americas, Africa, and the West Indies. Known as the tree of life, Moringa has been prized for its therapeutic benefits for centuries. Its vibrant green leaves contain more than 90 nutrients and 46 antioxidants, including vitamins A, B, C, D, and K, essential minerals such as calcium, iron, magnesium, and potassium, plus protein and fiber. Historically, Moringa seed oil was used by ancient Romans, Greeks, and Egyptians for perfumes and skin care, and in the 19th century, West Indies plantations supplied it to Europe as perfume and machinery lubricant.
