The coats sold out so fast that the couple decided to make a civilian version of the duffel coat in 1951. From there, Gloverall would go on to become a major player in British culture in the decades that followed. They outfitted the British Winter Olympic Team in the 80s, and appeared on an Oasis album cover in the 90s.
