I have been a creator for as long as I have been able to form memories. Everything from friendship bracelets to bead animals would keep me occupied for hours as a little girl. Even at that young age, I would day dream about having my own shop to be able to sell my creations. Nothing brings me more satisfaction than seeing another person enjoy something that I made. That feeling is magic and I literally don’t remember a time where I wasn’t working towards making that magic my career. My dad has worked for his small family business for a majority of his career and I love that I grew up knowing that it’s entirely possible to be your own boss. The ability to have a business where I can create new things and share them with other people who enjoy them is the most amazing privilege. As a queer person, I know what a burst of dopamine it is to find inclusive items out in the world. I hope that I can provide that jolt of happiness to women, queer people, and all the wonderful weirdos who relate to my silly little art.
