In West Virginia, Mothman (who is sort of the Appalachian Bigfoot) was first spotted in the mid 60’s. Random sightings resulted in several myths about the creature and eventually h is very own festival that takes place every September in Point Pleasant, WV, where he also has a museum in his honor.
