Motia Attar opens with a sharp, bright jasmine character — narcotic and indolic in the way only Jasminum sambac can be — laid over soft, creamy sandalwood. The honey side of jasmine sits in the heart, lifting into faint green and tea-like nuances. Sandalwood underneath gives the whole composition body. Use Motia Attar where you want a true Indian jasmine anchored to sandalwood — oriental floral bouquets, mukhallats, soliflores and Mughal-style attar reconstructions. It bridges naturally to oud, saffron, rose and ylang-ylang. A small amount lifts simple white-floral bases into dense, Indian-style depth. Pair with rose otto and saffron attar for a Mughal mukhallat heart, or use alongside oud and ambergris for a luxurious oriental. A trace under champaca or magnolia adds Indian warmth without obscuring the lighter florals. Undiluted, the sandalwood reads heavier than the jasmine until a few minutes in.
