Don't settle for some JV universal motor mounts you found in a magazine at the dentists office. We have designed Scout-specific mounts that take all the guess and double guesswork out of a GM engine swap for Gen 3 and 4 motors! These use a GM-style absorber, instead of a stiff bushing for dampening, that is matched to our transmission mount durometer. They also provide enough clearance for our stainless steel headers. Mounts hit up against the frame, line up the top "arrow" with the shock mount (always double-check with a tape measurer), clamp the top against the frame, and weld. Done. No need for jigs or even an engine test fit. For Scout 800's that are original 4 cyl. trucks, you will have to relocate the radiator bulkhead forward about 11.5" for an LS engine to fit. We recommend using our LS - Headers because stock LS manifolds will normally interfere with the mounts.
