The Motoron M1U256 is a compact single-channel motor controller that drives a DC motor bidirectionally via a simple UART serial interface. With support for 4.5V to 48V and up to 2.2A continuous current, it handles everything from small hobby motors to larger industrial applications. Unlike traditional motor drivers requiring PWM outputs, the Motoron uses serial commands, freeing up GPIO pins. Multiple controllers can share a single serial bus for multi-motor systems. Key Features Serial Control – UART interface, no PWM pins required Wide Voltage Range – 4.5V to 48V motor supply 2.2A Continuous – Handles substantial motor loads Bidirectional – Full forward/reverse control Daisy-Chainable – Multiple controllers on one serial bus Tiny Footprint – Just 0.6" × 0.6" board size Specifications Motor Channels – 1 (bidirectional) Interface – TTL serial (UART) Motor Voltage – 4.5V to 48V Continuous Current – 2.2A Board Size – 0.6" × 0.6" (15 × 15mm) Ideal For Robotics with limited GPIO Multi-motor systems on single serial bus Higher voltage motor applications Projects requiring simple serial control Package Contents 1× Motoron M1U256 motor controller 1× Header pins (unsoldered) Note: Headers included but require soldering.
