This piece was inspired by where I was - the Pacific Northwest. When I moved from Texas to Oregon for graduate school, I had no expectations. Being a woman in STEM was rarely easy, but my time there forced me to own my worth. The paintings of quiet PNW landscapes reflect the peace I found in recognizing my value.
