Mount Mary's Réflexion wines are made entirely from Mount Mary estate grown fruit, primarily from youngest plantings. The fruit grown on these vines is still developing towards the quality and consistency demanded for Mount Mary Vineyard estate wines, in this case their flagship Quintet Cabernet blend. Made using the same meticulous winemaking techniques used for Quintet components, the 2023 Mount Mary Reflexion Cabernets is made up of a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot. Opening with lifted aromatics of cherry, plum, and redcurrant, the palate is taut, sleek, and finely structured, delivering flavours of cherry and blackcurrant layered with subtle sweet spice and smoky nuances that add complexity. A fresh, vibrant and extremely approachable Yarra Valley Cabernets, this is an ultra impressive release from Mount Mary that is sure to sell out fast. “94 Points. Sloshes around the palate with visceral pleasure, a looser knit red with lusty flavour and yet a coolness underlying.
