I just love Mount Willard, perched above Crawford Notch in the heart of New Hampshire's White Mountains. I like it so much that I hike and/or run up and down its little 1.6 mile trail once a month. It can get awfully busy up there on nice days, but I will often pick a time mid-week or when the weather isn't great to see if I can have the view all to myself. I have dozens of photos of the view, and used them as inspiration in painting the incredible view out over the Notch. Winter is a wonderful time to climb this hill, as not quite so many other hikers are out and about. This is one oil on canvas in a four-part series of Mount Willard paintings; one for each season. 20 x 40 inch oil on canvas painting framed in a 22.5 x 42.5 inch hard maple float frame gallery wrapped on 1.25 inch stretcher bars (the painted surface wraps around the outer edges) signed by the artist wired and ready to hang
