The Mountain Light style runs a little long, offering a more universal fit for everyday wear. You may find you need to size down by a half a size for the best fit. Every pair of the Mountain Light is still built by hand in Danner's Portland, Oregon factory - made from hard wearing full-grain leather, on top of Vibram Kletterlift outsoles and with a waterproof GORE-TEX liner. The result of this craft is a classic design that provides unmatched comfort and support for walking of all types and levels. Danner put their leather though a full range of tests to ensure that their full-grains are the strongest and most durable leathers for their boots. The one-piece design of the leather upper eliminates any opening in the tongue area to keep debris and water out, and also creates the classic hiking boot shape and finish with minimal seams. For additional water resistance the boots have a GORE-TEX liner, meaning no water gets in whilst allowing sweat and moisture to get out. On the under side, the Vibram Kletterlift outsole is designed for comfort and durability - the heel provides shock absorption, with a rubber compound that guarantees great traction and stability in all conditions. Connecting everything, Danner’s legendary stitchdown construction allows for a wider platform and offers increased stability underfoot.
