This kachina doll is 15.5 inches tall. These carvings represent male dancers who during Hopi rituals, impersonate numerous spirit beings called Kachinas. The dolls are not worshipe d or prayed to as idols, but are used more in ceremonial education. John Molfese is a fine arts collector, archaeologist at the field museum, and is a citizen of the Navajo tribe. Show more
